Foresters are accused of cutting down trees many times and hence, they will reduce the areas of our forests. However, this is not true in this form. The accusation is originated from insufficient knowledge the most probably, as a lot of people do not know the processes of silviculture, whose first step is the seed- and sapling cultivation. At Zalaerdő PLtd the Nursery Garden in Bajcsa, of the Nagykanizsa Forestry Company deals with this activity, where tree saplings are cultivated on a sixty-one-hectare area.

The Hungarian Forestry Association created the Fa (Tree) Book documentary application on tree species supported by the Ministry for Agriculture. The application available for free both in Android and iOS systems gives the users help to identify 111 forest tree- and shrub species occurring in Hungary on the spot.

A Commemorative Forest is going to be established in Szentpéterfölde, on the hillside overlooking the settlement within the framework of “One with Nature” World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition as well as the connecting event series.

In order to increase the forest areas of our home country Zalaerdő PLtd has already accomplished almost nine hectares of afforestation within the framework of the Károly Kaán National Afforestation Model Programme in the autumn of 2019 and in the spring of 2020.
