“Nyitnikék” Forest Hostel
The “Nyitnikék” Forest Hostel was opened in 2016, in the neighbourhood of the hunter house and the open-air forest school, in the picturesque valley of Obornak. Besides pupils and students, hikers, trippers and families are welcome in the totally newly built hostel with an aesthetic design and a tasteful interior. The hostel is suitable for receiving 40 guests. There are two spacious bedrooms equipped with 20-20-beds and an own bathroom, one for boys and one for girls, rooms for teachers, a small kitchen suitable for warming up dishes and a spacious communal hall used as a dining room as well.
The building was constructed with the solutions of the environment-conscious architecture and the building engineering of the 21st century. You have the possibility to stay there even in winter because of the windows and doors with three-layer-glass, modern insulation, heating with solar collectors and a heating boiler with biomass-base. There are a roofed open-air place, an oven and a fireplace next to the hostel and they can make your stay there really pleasant and cosy.
We can expand the programmes of the former, day-car-centre-like camps with the opportunities the forest hostel provides; the real, so called “sleepover” camping can give more opportunities to campers, and variable programmes and experiences can make it more enjoyable.
