Hunter House in Budafa
The hunter house of the Forestry Company in Letenye is situated among the settlements of Kistolmács, Kiscsehi and Bázakerettye, in the Arboretum in Budafa.
The hunter house which was last renovated entirely in 1989 has been modernised more times since then; thus it provides high-quality accommodation for 12 people. The rooms are double-rooms, each with an own bathroom. There are a sitting room and a comfortable dining-room in the hunter house that fits for 20-25 people in case of an event or of a social gathering. Besides central heating you can also heat with a cockle stove in the dining-room that provides you pleasant warmth.
Long time ago the hunter house with the park of the original castle together belonged to Baron Iván Rubidó Zichy. The park is famous all around the country and it is an arboretum, a nature reserve nowadays. The amazing rhododendrons which you can admire from the terrace of the hunter castle will give you a breath-taking view in spring; the hunter guest will be fascinated by the colourful forests of the neighbouring areas and the multifarious plants of the arboretum in autumn.
